Starbucks Community Involvement
Michelle and I just finished bagging up gifts for some kids at Eastwood, the housing project Infuse is becoming more involved with. The cool thing about it is that all the presents were purchased by customers from the Starbucks where I work. A couple weeks ago I hung 25 tags on the tree in our store with kids’ names and the gifts they needed. The first few days there were only three or four taken and I thought it was going to be a flop. But by the end of last week all the tags were gone!
It’s been really fun for me to bring together the work we’re doing through Infuse and the place where I’m working. I’m thankful that Starbucks is a company that’s open to, and even promotes, community involvement. Hopefully there will be more opportunities like this in the future!
